WOW! 2008 was something else! I'm sure most will agree, at least most of the people in my circle of friends! Now it's time to move on to a better life in 2009!
A short recap of what happened in my neck of the woods... I started out 2008 by working too hard for "the man" and literally lost body parts over it. Not long after, I lost the job I lost the parts because of. That's what I call gratitude! Good Bye after 11 years in the business...
Good things do happen from bad if you wait long enough. Now I have my own business, I'm still treading water financially, and most of my bills are paid with the exception of a few medical bills! I am still chasing my son around and having a great time raising him. And if it wasn't for all this dang snow we have in Wisconsin, I'd be a pretty happy camper! (note to self: move to a warmer climate!)
So where you go from here when all seems fine and dandy? No place to go but UP! I have my own corporate ladder to climb these days. Building my business is getting easier by the day, thanks to the rising unemployment rate. People all over the country are looking for an income that will not be pulled out from under them. I can offer that now, and all they have to do is say "yes, I'm ready!"
I hope all of you are prepared for this new year! Think about all the changes and fantastic things that are about to happen. Starting a new year is just the beginning. We have a new president! The jury is still out on if that is going to be good or bad, but that's just normal when a new leader takes office. We have a new chance to change our lives for the better! Nothing wrong with that as long as we take full advantage of that. And yes, we have our friends and family to look out for, to look out for us, and to share in all the wonders of this new and upcoming year!
Make the best of it all! Best wishes to you in 2009!
